FDAAF, a disability nonprofit with a twist- is looking to change the way we view the world through teaching others about accessibility. In an ever growing virtual world, FDAAF is creating the first of its kind mobile game with the goal of showing others how to create inclusive and accessible spaces! By creating an educational and fun game, we hope to inspire others to rethink how games are made.
Role:
We are looking for an applicant that will assist in establishing the game world through utilizing different Unity functionality. This will include incorporating art assets, animations and SFX, along with assisting in the overall game’s design. The volunteer will assist with level designs and discuss the overall game design with the rest of the team. Qualities needed:
- Passion for promoting accessibility
- Significant experience (2+ years or 1000+ hours) working within Unity
- Excellent cross-discipline communication skills (you will talk with artists and developers)
- Attend weekly virtual meetings Mondays at 8PM EST (5PM PST)
- Self-discipline and self-motivation (this is volunteer role)
Bonus Qualities:
- Experience in Blender/Maya
- Creative ideation
- Coding experience in C#
- Enjoys meeting new people!
